drive shaft seal, HELP!!
hello folks, long time no see!!
Anyway, I am having trouble getting my new drive shaft seal to slide down the shaft all the way aaaaaand im hoping one of you will have some insight as to how to make it happen...i have it most of the way down and is seems to be stuck.

I was going to have this deleted, instead I will share my experience.
the last bit of shaft I needed to slide the seal sown was actually being blocked by the remainder of the old seal. What I didn't realize during removal is that there are 2 metal rings built in to the seals, an outer ring and an inner ring. the inner ring is separated from the shaft by a thin bit of rubber. I destroyed the new seal trying to pry it back of the shaft, so I have a new one coming. The only way I was able to remove the inner rings of each seal was to cut them.

TL:DR:
got angry, realized there was more to the seal than I thought, felt stupid.
