I just picked up a 2000 650cc V Star with just under ten-thousand miles on it. I'm going to have the brakes inspected/adjusted, oil change, stock pipes put back on it with a tune up and carb cleaning. Also plan to change any rubber lines on is particularly the vac lines & fuel line. Am I overlooking anything? It starts fine and runs well as it is. Someone put strait pipes on it and I plan to get the valves inspected and adjusted. Stock pipes came with it and looks like they were removed at purchase. I would rather not end up on the side of the road...trying to get everything in order and inspected/replaced. Ride safe!
