Battery Box
I recently bought a new regulator/rectifier for my '99 Custom to hopefully solve a charging problem but as I'm taking it apart, it seems the old R/R got so hot it melted the plastic battery box dropping the R/R about a half inch off its original position and actually imbedding itself into the bottom of the box. Aside from trying to find another box, which they dont make anymore, any thoughts on how to fix this? My thoughts are to re-build the back of the box so I can attach the new R/R, maybe some new vent holes to help with ventilation?

RE: Battery Box
So I went ahead and rebuild the battery box with epoxy and installed the new regulator/rectifier. So far so good.
