fuel issues
New to here, new to V Star Motorcycles. I recently had an issue with my bike of 8 months. It worked like a dream all last summer. After getting it ready to ride this spring, I'd noticed it was running rough. I did put a full tank with seafoam in it just before winter, and had my battery tender on all the time. I took it out, and it felt like it was firing on 1 cyl. Died a couple times before I got it back to town. Had a mechanic friend look at it, and we discovered the choke (starter) cable was bound up, and the return throttle cable was broke. I replaced all 3 cables, changed oil, had the valves checked, scince I was into it that far. Got it all put together, and she fired right up. Got it off the rack, pushed it outside for the test run, and it started acting like it did before. Finally got it running, but our crazy question....even with the fuel in the off position, it ran for almost 6 min. Where would the fuel be coming from? We had pulled the carbs, and went through them both...
