RE: my first ride vid
I remember doing my first and that wind was just killing it for me till i masked it with some music. Wow, you guys do drive on the op. side ! it looks crazy! We drive on the wrong side here, thats why there are so many accidents! haha As if it makes a diff. What size is your windshield? Looks like i should get one but maybe shorter? anyway have fun with the vid. projects. I'm looking to do the same myself while cruising around dwtn and other interesting areas of L.A. Its great if with the right camera and sound.. lots of fun! enjoy.

Yeah I know what you mean about the sound, but then you wouldn't hear the floorboards scrape 2:25, lol. I think to make it more interesting you need to put in more camera angles, but that means stopping and moving the camera, which is a bit of a hassle. I have been experimenting with some good results, the next one will be much better. It surprised me how long the editing took, and that the upload took even longer. I think it will take quite a. It of dedication too make a quality video.

RE: my first ride vid
welcome to the world of motorcycle vids. it's a great outlet for your creativity. personally, i can't stand listening to wind when watching vids so i always use music in mine. i don't know why everybody doesn't do it.

Wow, you folks can get away with stuff we couldn't here. That driving on the shoulder and bike lanes would cost you here in Minnesota. I think you can get away with that in California though.

jmck,

Nice video. I second Mr RCOM.....and all those bloody roundabouts. It's like playing Russian roulette everyday if that's your ride to work. I wouldn't need a cup of coffee when I got to work, but I'd probably need a clean pair of shorts... :)

Hopefully you'll share some of your Aussie adventures down the road.

Cheers.

I have one of these, it actually works really well, but I need to take a video with it. You have to have a card to put in it, but it is cheap and if you lose it, it isn't the end of the world. I might pick up myself another one.

http://www.amazon.com/Chain-Camera-Video...+hd+camera

It also looks like you've got chain mail armor on your head with just the reflection. Well done video @jmck

and yeah, I told someone a while back round-a-bouts are the closet I will come to playing Russian Roulette in my life. Especially here in the US where they are new and people have no clue. Fun, but holy cow you got to pay attention and people cross lanes. Just the other day had some person who honked at me, but it wasn't even close. I hate sitting waiting for people because it is the perfect opportunity to get rear-ended.

yep came with everything, I only have a 16gb card but will probably get a 2nd one.

@matt thats just the velcro that hold it on. I have been playing around with different mounting options and that won't be in future videos.
