RE: New Moderator Positions
Great stuff. I believe the company he works for is doing a charity house build type thing. Sad to see some of the conditions those people live in. I was in Juarez, Mexico 10 years ago before the violence from the drug war got so bad. People literally living in shacks and we built a house for a guy who lived right on the top side of a landfill. I'm not kidding when I say a land fille....people lived in some of these conditions.

Trash everywhere. No running water, just some electricity. Puts things in perspective. But that picture there is no exception at all to what we saw...not everyone lived like that. Convenience stores mile away that had air conditioning and food/water/candy bars,e tc. and some nice cars and trucks from some people who had decent jobs. also, if you liked Mexican food you could get some from people who cooked in their neighborhood.

Don't drink the water, however.

Panama, we were in a Rural area, but it was much nicer than Juarez, Mexico. 30k Diesel Trucks everywhere...AC in the hotel (in Mexico we stayed in a church type building) and you could get Internet access and it was safe there. Water was intermittent as was hot water, but food was cheap, and cars everywhere. Some people lived in shacks.

Anyway, off my soapbox. Just goes to say, if you have a V Star or really any type of motorcycle, some food, and a roof over your head you'e doing pretty good compared to a lot of places in the world.

RE: New Moderator Positions
Alright fellow V-Star riders we have made a decision as to who the new mods are. I will say that it was an incredibly hard decision for us and a ton of you guys/gals answered the call. When making this decision we didn't do it solely based off of longevity, posts, thanks received, etc (although those where measurements in the decision) but we also looked at when the mods where available to be on the board. With that said, everyone of you in this community mean a lot to us and all those that showed interest are outstanding members. We truly value everyones input, expertise, and interaction and it's because of you that this community even needs moderators.

With that said, please welcome our newest moderators @jmck and @Mr RCOM...

If you have any questions please let me know.

Jason
