RE: Give us feedback!
Hey guys im just wondering what everyone thinks about this. I know other forums have different sections for different parts of the country. I think it'd be cool to have some regional stuff to meet other people and ride with or just hang out. The other star bike sections have nothing posted and I feel like that section could be condensed and used for the regional stuff.

Give us feedback!
Good idea, outside the US Pacific Northwest. Just not enough of us here, yet.

RE: Give us feedback!
I've been a member of the forum for about a week. I have found a lot of great info from great folks. My only complaint is one that has been mentioned several times: black type on a white background would help my old eyes. Other than that I'll leave for after I have been around for awhile.

I've noticed that the new sections are password locked. If you try to access them you get asked for a forum password. I wouldn't be surprised if that's not why they are still empty.

As for condemning them and using the space for something else that's really not necessary. It doesn't cost anything to have additional subforums. The cost of running a forum is basically in the hosting and storage space so it doesn't matter how it's divided up.

Kind of along the lines of what you're recommending though - I belong to a large ukulele forum and one of their forums is "regional meet ups." They don't have subforums for regions (though they could, easily enough). Instead, people just include the city, or state or region or whatever applies in the title of a thread. It is through this means that the "Ukulele World Congress" in Indiana was publicized and it's been growing like crazy. There are now around 400 or more of us showing up the first weekend in June in Indiana to hang out and play the uke. And the "World" isn't an exaggeration. We've got people that come in from France, the UK, the Netherlands, and Down Under each year not to mention from all across North America.

RE: Give us feedback!
We'll keep the new sections for now to see if they gain any traction but I'll throw in some for regions - any ideas on how you'd like to see the regions broken down?
