Another suggestion for you, as I can understand where you're coming from with the ready!

I trawl the bike wreckers and advertisements in the paper where people are dismantling bikes/cars, you never know what you may find.

There's not that much around here that is bike centered.
A lot of larger cities have "treasure" yards that deal only with wrecked bikes but not here.
Thanks

( l love just wandering around those places)

Is anyone with a 250 using them?
If you are, where did you get them, and how much did they cost?
Do you like them?
Also what are the dimensions (W " X L" ) and are they flat or angled up a little?

Thanks, guys...
I saw a video of a bloke making a set for a 250. I'll try and find it for you.

Nearly all of my rides have had floorboards - only my Kwaka 1100 had pegs - I also have a firm grip on Terra Firma and have found using the rocker shifter on the 1300 no problem. However, if it is a problem then I think that a simple extension, giving, say another 25mm (inch) and utilising the hole where the peg comes out now would cure any room dramas!

Here you go, I apologise as it was for 650 not a 250, but I think the principles would be the same.

Hope this helps you out.

RE: Who's using floor boards...?
I've got floorboards on the Classic - they are different. I like them now, but at first I didn't. It's the first bike that I've had with them. They suit the riding position of my bike well, but I'm not sure about the 250 because I haven't seen one or sat on one.

Floorboards help take away some of the vibrations, so on a smaller engine that may be an advantage. Of course, I've had pegs with some pretty hefty rubber padding on them too. I think for most it's a look thing. It also gives easy access to a heel shifter, which I personally never use.

RE: Who's using floor boards...?
I just installed these on my 250...http://www.ebay.com/itm/201648876588...had to do a very slight modification. Plenty of room for shifting with 9 1/2 shoe size, much more comfortable now.
