Re-Purposing Old 1300 Stock Handlebars
Always being environmentally mindful, I try to find ways to re-use or re-purpose unwanted or discarded items.Angel

For my challenge today, I happen to have in my possession a set of stock 1300 handlebars, you know, that same stock set that NObody seems to like.

They are too wide with zip for pullback. They give riders backaches, make us lean forward way too much in a punishing posture, with the exception of @Gibbo of course, who stands like 5 ft 17 inches tall.

So I was thinking about what I could do with my very much unwanted stock handlebars. How many uses could I come up with on short notice for re-purposing them?

Horribly uncomfortable armrest.

Holder for my new Paleo cookbooks!
[attachment=650]

Doorstop with its own trip hazard.
[attachment=651]

Dryer for just washed shoes.
[attachment=652]

Poorly designed ergonomic footrest.

I need better ideas.

Here's another one. That special tool to reach things on the high shelf in the laundry room.

I like the show dryer idea too.

What can't I tag you RCOM? Is it because of you're a bot?

How about mounting them to a wall and do wall-ups.
Would get you in shape for those no windshield rides.

@jmck I'm not so sure about the space, as I have tried to tag a number of people and sometimes it will work and others it won't, I agree with @Agspace it's Botery!!! Or it could be F.R.E.D. (Flaming Ridiculous Electronic Devices).

I like the idea of using the old handlebars as a boot drying rack - good thinking 99!

Ok, not working now. I think he has some sort of 'bot' powers.

I like the boot-drying rack idea. The others involve......ahem......."exercise".

Not happenin'.

Now I need some wet boots. I'm going outside to wait for our next rain. We get only about 8-10 inches of rain per year. December looks kinda promising...... Biggrin

RE: Re-Purposing Old 1300 Stock Handlebars
My new handlebars have finally shipped. They went from Knoxville, TN, to Nashville, TN, in just TWO WHOLE DAYS!

At this rate, I'll see them in February! 2025!

Shoot me now. I have no patience for waiting any more!
