Z Bar Question
Whats up guys...... I have another Z Bar question.

I just bought some 14" bars pretty cheap at a swap meet, and I am curious as to fitment of the controls.

My bar is 1 1/4" but drops to 1" where the grips and control boxes etc will fit. Does anybody know if the OEM grips etc will fit on that? or am I going to have to order new ones to fit?

thanks!

RE: Z Bar Question
My my controls fit on the 1" diameter bar so if im understanding you right the controls...will.... fit on the 1" portions of your bars.

RE: Z Bar Question
Yup. Everything fits on a 1" bar.

But if you got a 1 1/4 or something the ends would have to be turned down to 1

Re: Z Bar Question
OK, but the ones I see are 1¼" and go down to 1" just on the raiser and grips sections, like these...[Image: abezavy7.jpg]

RE: Z Bar Question
Ohhhhhhhh now i know what your asking.

You want to know if the 1" section is long enough to fit everything.

Youd have to measure from the grip end to the other end of the controp box and see what the description says for the bar

As long as the area that's 1" is long enough to accommodate the grip and all the housing you should be good. However, what size risers do you have? If the bars are 1.25 in that area, you'll need new risers.

Out of curiosity, how much longer cables did you need? About to put 14" apes on mine and would like to not tear the bike down to measure if possible. Thanks.
