Cost to clean, rejet, sync carbs???
I have aftermarket exhaust, Roadburner straight pipes. Took the baffles out, installed an aftermarket "spike" air cleaner and removed ais. Did all this last night in a couple hours, it was simple. I'm no mechanic and after doing some research, the carbs might be beyond my abilities.

What is the average cost to get this type of work done? Either by dealer or a mechanic working on the side out of his garage...

RE: Cost to clean, rejet, sync carbs???
My guy quoted me $75 to clean carbs (if already off of bike). He charges for removal, syncing and putting back on ($80/hr). All in, probably about $150 or so. He owns his own shop here in Beltsville, MD, and is REALLY good. Expect to pay more at a dealer, and less at a shadetree mechanic's house. Obviously, rates differ depending on where you live.

the carbs need to be on the bike with eng running for proper syncing. bench syncing is not as accurate
