I get stopped a lot by guys who want to take a picture to send to their wife or gf to show that there really are pink bikes out there.

One would think that riding a bright pink bike would keep me safe however I actually had guy roll into the backend of my bike the same day I sprayed it pink. I had to go straight home after and add a little detail to it because he said he didn't see me.

Yeah, some people view the world through rose colored glasses, other's through brown-stained eyes...

The green didnt turn out as id hoped but i might use it to accent some stuff. i did my side cover, tank, and headlight cup and ring with tue black and it looks like itll turn out really great. I need to get another can to finish the rear fender and the handlebar and mirrors.

So far i really like using it. I think its easier to use than regular paint
Little hint incase no one has mentioned it before. For the Blaze colors its best to do a base coat of white. WARNING: DO NOT USE PLASTI-DIP PRIMER if you want to have the ability to remove it in the future use just a can of white plasti-dip and the color of your choice and you should be able to get the desired results.

I have been lucky the little bit of gas that did get onto it had no affect. But I did also spray the area around the filler tube with an extra thick coat of glossifier just incase.

I'm so tempted to try some plasti-dip...but since I'm not sure that I have three artistic cells in my entire engineer's brain...it's probably best if I don't. LOL

That dip would be good to apply under the fenders.

oh come on. try it. what's the worse that can happen? you can peel it off so you'd only be out the few bucks for the spray and the time just consider it therapy. lol

I am sad to report that last night while pulling Gracie apart to clean her up for a PGR mission I discovered that the sun is turning her orange. [DISAPPOINTED FACE] guess I'm pulling it off this week and I think I'm going to try a black and pink theme this time. just need to research how to keep her bright pink longer.

The first red cars faded to sort of a coral pink within a couple of years if they weren't kept in a garage...

Just FYI red pigments often tend to be the least permanent in most cases. This is true from water- and oil-based artist's paints to camera film to automotive finishes. They have UV blocking clear-coat paints now that have made it less of an issue on things like automotive finishes...but I don't guess that there is any way to clear-coat over plasti-dip...

they make a glossifier to go over it however I was warned not to over apply.

I think I came up with an alternative. since I need to base coat in white I'm going to spray over the white with the hot pink road marker. I've been told that would last longer.

Hmmm, I wonder if there is some way to add a UV blocker to the glossifier...

RE: Plastidip anyone? pics...
i was about to say just spray regular paint over the dip. lol

In my one time experience peeling off the dip wasnt as easy as i thought it would be... well.. it depended on the part. it came off hella easy on the bare metal ring on the headlight cup, pretty easy on the plastic headlight cup, and it was a pain on the tank and fender.

but! im kinda guessing if the dip were to go over a gloss paint or clearcoat it would be easier to peel. both my tank and fender were matte with no clear

so here's the front fender. I used Krylon Fluorescent paint color Cerise. it is a reddish pink. looked a bit orange last night but I will see what it looks like in a few minutes when I leave for work. [Image: u6une6y9.jpg]

I do like that it's glossy and glows under black light. lol. if I stick with the coior il be getting black light pods to really make a statement dusk to dawn.
