RE: Found some decent compact LED turn signals.
I worked on the bike all day Tuesday and Wednesday and I now have several bites of some kind on my legs. I don't think it was mosquitoes because it was mostly during the heat of the day. I was kneeling on the asphalt under the carport a lot, might have had some ants find me or something, though usually if the little fire ant suckers get me I know it instantly.

Chiggers???
No, I've had chiggers, these aren't anywhere near that bad. Also, this neighborhood has been settled for decades so very unlikely that there are any chiggers around even in the grass. Those tend to be found more in fields and such. My last bout with chiggers was several years ago after the Trinity river flooded. At the time I was stopping during my evening commute to ride my bicycle in a park along the Trinity so as to miss the worst of rush hour. The floods washed out the bike trails and I didn't realize that the floods had brought the chiggers up from the river level. Like to ate me alive from the ankles up!

RE: Found some decent compact LED turn signals.
i throw this out there... I buy the agricultural grade permethrin at the farm store and water it down for personal use. like bug spray. but also kills the bugs. and then we use the non-diluted around the foundation of the house and garage and also i spray it on the work lights in the garage.

for what we have around here...mosquitoes, box elder bugs, lady bugs, flies and spiders. it really does work.

also a hunter friend sprays a bed sheet with the stuff and will wrap up a deer with it and in a few days all the ticks and bugs on the carcass die and fall off.
