Anyone use Rotella T full synthetic diesel oil? Myself and a bunch of other guys that had R6s used it, it was cheap and worked very well.

will have to look, but at wally only comes in 1 weight and its been good in the Texas heat and cold. run regular rotella in my generator, many say thats the best oil to run. not sure but believe that T6 only comes in 1 weight, its all that have seen. guess if no job soon will have to use some of the tax refund, truck and bike due for oil, thats costly, almost 5 gallons at $21 a gallon.

Yeah.i guess if it does well over there. It should do well in Florida. Did very well in the 6. Even stick in traffic in the Florida heat.

I use the Rotella T .. not the T6 .. 15w40. inexpensive and clutch is smoother..engine quieter and feels stronger for sure. Sorry for bringing this back from the dead.

I just switched from Yamalube to Amsoil 20W50. Dealer said it would help keep the engine cooler and is good for high mileage bikes. I tightened up the lash to low spec. and that helped with the engine noise but after the Amsoil I can barely hear it now. Its about $14 a litre here in Canada but thats comparable to the Yamalube kit. 68,000 km on my '99 1100.

i did the same switch on my 650 and the engine is much quieter and the clutch is way smoother 14.00 qt in ct area i'll never use another brand, 55,000 miles and still runs like it did when new.

When I purchased Yamalube from a dealer recently he put 10w 30 on the counter. I said "Oh, sorry. Can I get 20w 50?"

I knew I wanted it for the hotter months. It's been running great. Wondering what to put in next.

Keep 20w 50 even into the Fall Season?

Googled T6. So it's Rotella T6, synthetic, 5w 30 that you use?

Keith, I may have the opportunity to ride my bike across country! My seasoned rider friend is taking two weeks to ride to the west coast and back, and I'm tempted to tag along. Your oil recommendations are well appreciated. Thanks man! :-)
