Re: Let's see your 1100
Mine is a 2005 custom I found on CL for $2800. It had 1340 miles on it. The woman didn't like how it handled.

I'm just plodding along with my mods. Found the seats, bags and deflectors on ebay.
Hoping to find a batwing and move the controls forward a few inches. Maybe a 2 into 1 exhaust to get the bags and pipes lower.

I refer to it as my "Po-boy bagger" project.

Went for a short ride yesterday. No more engine oil leaks & just had the forks serviced so running well atm.

I like your exhaust wrap- by the looks of it are they standard headers & you put the guards back on after wrapping?

I took the stock headers and welded some tubing at the end. Then wrapped over it and passing under the guards without removing them.

RE: Let's see your 1100
haha thats exactly what i did to my pipes. but i cut the heat guards off. this season im gonna unwrap mine and extend the pipes. because i got a classic fender for it so short lil pipes might look weird

dunno if you've rode it with the pipes yet but you'll need a small baffle. i tried a lollypop but what worked even better was just like a 2 1/4 OD to 1 7/8 exhaust reducer.

is the "titanium" color wrap?

Impressive work with the pipes. Do u have them mounted at the "muffler" end to the original mounting point? Or they just hanging?

i have safety wire twisted around the ends of the two. like the top one supports and stops the lower from vibrating. it hasn't been an issue but this time with the longer ones i'll be modding the original braket
