Mounted the Michelin Commander II on my 2013 V-Star 1300 Deluxe
I finished off my Stock rear tire at about 8,000 miles. Being that my bike is my commuter and I put about 135 miles a day, 4 days out of the week, I decided to go with the Michelin Commander II Rear 180/65-B R16 81H. So far I have put on about 3,000 miles on the rear tire and it looks and feels great.
I’ll be keeping you guys posted. I’ll be happy to get 10,000 miles out of it but if I get closer to the 20,000 miles that they advertise, I’ll be singing their praises for years….

Update... Well I reached the 10,000 miles and was stopped short with a nail in the Rear tire. Super happy with the Commander II, even though I reached 10,000 miles with the rear, I still a lot of good thread to spare. The tire could have gone an easy 5,000 more I believe.

So I mounted the new Rear Commander II with 19,200 miles on the bike. Lets see how this one fairs out..

Just changed out both Front and Rear tires at 33,800 miles..

That gave me 14,600 miles on my Rear, and 18,100 miles on Front

I'm happy with the miles i got out of both my tires. I'll be going with the Commanders again.

Just put on the Commander II's on my 1999 V-Star 650. I did a lot of research, and I think these will be good.

I replaced the old Commander front tire with a new Commander II. Just about 250 km behind now but I can tell it does work fine in cold conditions. Yesterday for example the temperature was around 0 C (32 F) but the grip was absolutely awesome. The rear tire is a different thing though, should be replaced with a Commander II also at some point.
