@ET_Geckoe what kinda filters you using? then why that particular one? i really liked wally super tech filters, were rated better than any of the cheaper ones they carry now, of course they had to discontinue them! used them on everything i had. some people tried the line was a recall, hmmm nothing on recall boards for it, just trying to dodge why someone in corp made bad decision and discontinue a great product and replace with pos white can filter that would not wish on anybody.
Thanks for the tip....but I have decided to forgo it (Momentarily at least) after completing my first oil change today. Wasn't as difficult as I had feared. 8 bolts and 2 nuts later, fresh oil in the bike. Unfortunately, have a new problem now. She was being a whore to start, and when she did, ran for about a min then died like running out of gas (full tank). Banging my head in frustration. Angry
is fuel pump ticking?

RE: Do you change your oil filter every time?
Usually I would. I didn't this time because the oil only had about 500 miles on it. I basically just wanted to get the oil from last fall out of it and get some T6 in it before the weather heats up. If things work out I'm planning on riding up to Idaho to visit my oldest daughter and her family come late June or early July. I don't like changing oil just before a trip because I like being able to make sure there isn't a drip before I hit the long and winding road.

If you don't change your filter, then don't change your oil. That's how I see it.
but to each his own. I love my bike enough to care for it.

This would be the only case I would say it was OK, but I probably would have removed it and drained it...

Are you sure? You meant to say "non-synth" oil? Usually the synth can be run 5k took between changes (if you use Mobil1, Amsoil or Rotella T6, or equivalent )

RE: Do you change your oil filter every time?
I change it every time at about 3000 miles, using a synthetic blend.

This summer though, I'll be taking a 4000 mile road trip that will require an oil change during. I will NOT have the filter changed, just oil. I don't trust a shop to touch the filter cover bolts.
