Any riders in Houston tx? need little help.
Hey guys!! need a little help this morning from fellow rider. Picked up a 2006 dragstar 650. It took awhile to get carbs done and now having little trouble figuring out all cables and wires and misc. carbs are on just need to run everything to them. seeing if anyone want to go for a ride so I can take a look at the carbs and see how all this ran to start her. want to take a look at bike that is rolling and ready match my bike up to it then start her up. If anyone is in katy tx area shoot me a message head on over we can talk about bike and take a look at this scooter! Thanks for the help.

Do you have the maintenance manual for the bike? It has diagrams that will probably help you quite a bit. There are copies available free online - I don't recall the URL right now but it has been posted in these forums several times so you should be able to find it.

it much easier to install the cables with the carb off the intake boots. the push cable has no slack adjustment at the grip so get it right at the carb the first time. it's very difficult if not impossible to adjust the push cable with the carb mounted. the pull cable has slack adjustments at both ends.
