07 v star 1100 classic fuel issue
My dad bought a 07 v star 1100 classic last year around March. Ever since he's had it the bike runs rough without the choke regardless how long it's ran. Took it to the local yamaha house and they checked everything out and said everything was fine. That they naturally run cold. So about a week or so the bike died. Realized fuel wasn't getting to the carbs. So checked out fuel pump and pump was bad. Ordered a pump online came in and installed it. The bike is now running but running bad now. Drained fuel and put fresh fuel still the same. The idle doesn't idle well. Will die without choke. And while riding it if I get off the throttle it's still revving high for a little bit then it will go back down to idle. I don't know much about these bikes. I've always had Hondas. I haven't tried seafoam yet. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. And anything very thorough. Not to familiar with these bikes. O and if it means anything the pipes are stock but have holes drilled inside the outlet of each pipe.

pilot jets are probably dirty, Take them out and blow carb cleaner thru all the holes and take the wire from a bread tie and run it thru all the side holes. also blow carb cleaner thru the carb passages.

as for the bike still revving when you let off the throttle, check your idle screw.

and seafoam sure will not hurt running through her either, be sure and check that no air leaks from the air filter to the carbs, I had a leak in the boot had to run with the choke partially on all the time, new boot with no cracks to allow air leak can turn choke off pretty quick.
