engine removal Re:bobber project
hey... following the service manual.... but it seems a little lacking.
i'm at the point where i'm meant to undo the bolts for the engine mounts but i cant see how the engine will pop out as it is still connected to the drive shaft...?

is the drive shaft meant to come off first....?

engine removal Re:bobber project
Yes... Absolutely
The shaft along with everything else need to be off.
Use a rolling jack under to help pull it out...little bit at the time

Re:bobber project
hey... havent had much time on this project since i pulled the engine out, but all is good. trying to buy all the bits i will need for my project and so far the only thing i cant find are the f/r exhaust headers....? (i mean the little elbow things)
i know with the old system i pulled off the rear is separate to the pipe but the front is welded on and is stainless, the rear is steel...? not sure if this is standard...? i have looked at oem parts and the rear header is deleted N/A and the front comes connected to the pipe.

as i intend to make my own pipes.... does any one know if these headers can be purchased by them selves....? can you get s/s ones as i want to build mine from it and dont want dissimilar metals.
