Highway Bars
Still trying to find a quality set of highway bars for my recently ordered V-Star 650 Custom. I reside in Canada, so it's awfully slim pickings up here, that's for sure. Due to our ever-weakening dollar, ordering from the USA is now pretty much out of the question. One make of bars that we CAN get here in Canada is "Big Bike Parts", and though a bit pricey at $266, they seem to be of very good quality. So, just wondering if any of you are familiar with this brand, and whether you may have them installed on a 650 Custom... if so, any chance you could post pics? Thanks!
(about the only other option is to take a gamble at buying a cheap-@ss set from Ebay, though I am highly doubtful of the quality/fit)

http://www.bikebandit.com/aftermarket-pa...s?m=153980 not being from canada i'm not completely understanding the situation.these are what i got for my custom the price and free shipping were good and i think the style compliments the custom. from the front they do stick out.i got them to protect my feet in a tip over. i dont know if maybe the big rounded style would offer more protection.
2007 1100 custom,cobra longs and pods,doubled clutch spring.

Thanks Nick. The trouble is that our Canadian currency has lost so much value this past year, that between the exchange rate, shipping, duty and brokerage fees, those bars would end up costing me almost $400. It is next to impossible to find a Canadian online retailer selling highway bars.

RE: Highway Bars
Try either JCwhitney or J&P cycles. They're pretty decently cheap.

Also, see if ebay or anyone close (ish) to you has it for sale on craigslist. I shop craigslist ALL THE TIME.

Anyways, I hope these help. Like I said, those 2 websites are usually fairly priced...

Hey bud. We build custom crash bars. And we will ship to Canada. I can do a custom set cheaper than you can order. And do them in any style you can dream up...

custom made eng guards would probably be outta my price range i wouldn't go over 125.00 for guards on a 650 the bike is 16 years old now with 55,000 miles i'm slowly buying parts for an overhaul in a few years( hopefully ) i'm doing all the work myself except machine work.
