Alright. I ride 24 miles round trip daily for work, and I also...... I only ride my bike, shall I say to make it easier.. No car only bike... I have packed on 4.5k miles in just shy of 3 months, and burned through a set of Dunlop 404 metric.. The rear is toast... the front has a little life in it. I will never use the Dunlop 404 again..
So what would be the best Shinko, hehe, or any tire really that is best for commuting. Day in day out night cruises, the late night text/call from the mistress.. I am on a 2003 Roadstar 1600 Silverado. Min mileage per day would be 40.
Thanks!

well laugh but had shinko ww on my 1100 and excellent grip for my in town commutes they say get around 7k out of them, several guys on here got the Shinko and really liked them for all weather grip and since were cheaper could afford to change out more often, if want spend more and get Metzler or Michelin commander hear excellent reports on the Mich and I had Metz prior to the Shinko but Metz just wasn in the pocketbook that time.

I don't know how others feel, but I know what I do. I have an 01 Dragstar 1100 . I am using Metzlers both front and rear out here in the SoCal desert (temps to 115°) have about 5k on them and still have miles and miles of tread left. I get my tires from Motorcycle Superstore, free shipping on orders over $89 and no tax. They also have a great rewards program. Shipping is pretty fast too, usually 3 to 5 days or less.
They carry most major brands too. Just to reiterate - I really like these Metz on both my VStar and my wife's Suz VL800

of course in Dallas have temps over 100 lots of times where just sit and say come on green come on green as feel the heat from the asphalt coming through the shoes. metz are great tires but was expensive, had dunlap on a kaw police was the worst handling ever.

I have Bridgestone Excedras - OEM for my 2003 650 classic. I put 11,000 miles on them, and according to the manufacture date on the tires, they were original with the bike, so they had a total of 22,000 miles on them. I ride about 80 miles a day.
