Hate to say it, but I think I am going the Maxair Predator Pro Kit route. I know it cost some bucks, but if I DIY I don't get instructions, support, crossover tube, anti-reversion adapters. I am no engine tuner, so this might be the way to go for me.
Even so, the kits don't mention exhaust so my concern is that I should use different jets with Cobra pipes that stock. Maybe it is not that specific?
Just want the best performance.

I just finished installing the cobra slip on exhaust on my 1300 vstar and I must say I was totally surprised and very happy with the difference in the sound. Never noticed no big diff in power but im not a heavy throttle driver. But now I have the rumble of a Harley but the smooth ride of a Yamaha !!! It doesn't get any better than that. A buddy stopped over and he was totally blown away also with the sound!
