2000 stock exhaust mods
Anybody do any drilling on their stock exhaust? If so, how'd it turn out? I'm wanting a louder rumble but not so loud its annoying to ride. wanna play around with stock pipes before spending $400+

i first drilled 4 3/8 holes through the final baffle but it was kinda cracky sounding so i removed the entire final baffle and and cut the final pipe in front of the next baffle now it gets pretty loud under hard acceleration but is fairly tame just putting around. this link will help you, keep in mind after 2004 they started using catalytic converters inside 650 mufflers.

Many different views on this issue on the web with regard to whether the 650 needs rejetting after drilling holes in last baffle plate or not.... Its confusing... I cant seem to find a definitive answer to to this particular issue. Certainly many people who cannot yet afford after market exhausts drill out the last baffle for a bit of a rumble and dont rejet but I also read that anytime you alter your exhaust back pressure you need to rejet.

Can anyone provide a clear answer on this??
