2007 V Star 650 Classic - Gas Smell
New bike for me. I smell gas but cannot find any evidence of leakage, seepage, etc.. No evidence of too-rich mixture. Everything looks dry around carbs and rest of fuel system. Engine runs good.

Any ideas where this gas odor is coming from? Could it be normal venting from the tank?

I'm not very familiar with this bike. Thanks for any help.

I don't know if this helps or not, but on my 1100 I took of the AIS, and it sometimes kicks the excess full out my air filter. I'm really not sure if that is normal, but it hasn't really caused any issues.

RE: 2007 V Star 650 Classic - Gas Smell
Thanks. I did find a small seep from the one of the carb shut off solenoids. I tightened it and hope this was the problem. There was no gasket under the solenoid (either one of the them. ) I assume this is the way they were mfg. I can find the solenoid on any parts diagrams online, so don't know for sure about the gaskets.
