2014 Vstar 950 Exhaust mod help? Plz!?
I purchased a 2014 vstar 950 Tourer brand new with less than 1 mile on it about a month ago. I love the bike but can't handle the quiet exhaust. I don't have the cash to buy a aftermarket exhaust right now. I know there are probably a ton of threads on this already and I have searched a lot. Even YouTube. I really can't find a step by step way of drilling the stock exhaust baffles out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try looking up for the 1300 it would be the same. Or even the 650 and 1100 would give you the general idea. I went with a Vance and Hines slip on. Cheaper then a full exhaust and sounds great.

Thanks swish24. I'll look at those. I've looked into the slip ons but the wallet or wife won't let me right now. Since I just bought the bike.

I've tried everything to convince her lol she's to Dang thrifty. I'll eventually end up talking her into it. I've looked at the Rush slip ons. Any experience with these?

Take off the slip on.. look inside, on the motor side you see the cat. The other end is a freeze plug.. knock a hole in the plug, if you want drill a 1 1/2 inch hole through the cat.. its aluminum... that will make it louder,breathe... but much quieter then straight pipe.. mine sounds great for not buying vance and hines

I knocked the plug out today. I wasn't sure about the cat. I'm off tomorrow so I'll probably do the drill the cat out tomorrow.
