V&H Tinny or raspy sound on 950
Just wondering if anyone has the same issue; I just bought the Vance and Hines twin Slash slip on pipe for my xvs Star 950 and while I do love the idle sound and the nice throaty noise it makes when you give it a bit of throttle when cruising what I don't like is the tinny noise it produces when at a low throttle position and the hassle of having to go through each gear getting it to the point in revs where it disappears. Would anyone know that if I removed the baffle (which isn't just slipping out and looks like I need a slide hammer to remove it) then wrapped it with baffle packing would this lessen the tinny sound but not lose the deeper throaty sound?

Cheers

I ended up removing the baffle and packing it with Baffle packing, it has deadened the tinny sound by around 60% and I think it has a slightly deeper sounding note now. Over all it has quietened the pipes down a bit but it is more like the sound that I was after.
