Question about a V-Star part
Hello there

Hoping you may be able to assist me, I have a motorcycle part I'm trying to identify. I've kindly been given some info but any help anyone here may have would be really useful.

(Can't post a link to the pics... is there any way to get the info over?)

So far I've got that it's a Yamaha V-Star Classic, 650 or 1100. How would I find out, is there any way of knowing, or is it something that needs an expert at the Yamaha store?

I've been told that the 2300cm3 is the oil capacity, and the 1N2345 is the gears. These numbers are on it.

My knowledge is below minimal... embarrassing but I am rubbish. Sorry! Any assistance would be really good. If anyone knows any sites which sell it I can look myself.

Thank you Shy

Question about a V-Star part
The 1100 has two disk brakes in front. The 650 has one. In the rear the 650 has drum brakes. If u post a pic of bike we could tell.

RE: Question about a V-Star part
this is the left side cover for the 650.the 1100 is very different.what are you trying to get at? the 2600 cm is stamped next to the oil site window, and the 1n2345 is 1st, nuetral, second, third, forth, and fifth gears.

RE: Question about a V-Star part
What am I trying to get at? Nothing.. I've no idea. Others have told me those things. I've come here to see if I can get any help identifying specifically what it is. Are you saying it's definitely the 650? I already said my knowledge is below minimal... I have no idea. I'm asking for help.

650 flywheel side cover is what you have there, the 1100 cover doesn't have those numbers stamped on it and it's also bigger with a slightly different shape to it
