Purchase advice needed
Hey, guys. Need some advice here. I'm in the market for a v star 650 Classic. Right now I have my options narrowed down to one that is stock aside from the added footpegs (which I intend to replace) for $2k. Owner is willing to barter a few guns for it.

Or I can pay $1,800 cash for one with handlebars, risers, and seats that need to go. I can do all of that myself. This thing has been available for a while and the owner dropped the price a few days ago. I'm betting I can wiggle him down some more.

What do you think I should do? Get the one that only needs floorboards but has no resellable stuff, or get the one that needs more stuff to be replaced but is cheaper? (I know the included mustang seats are pretty expensive but I can't stand the studs on these particular ones. Wouldn't mind getting the same seat without them.) The owner says he doesn't have any of the original parts anymore.

Thanks.

what's the year and milage, i got my 2000 classic 20,000 miles for 1,500 with an oem windshield and 600 dollar saddlebags, if you do buy it the first thing you wan't to do is grease the shaft splines, the splines are notorious for stripping out from lack of grease, other than that it's a pretty solid bike, not the best on the highway but i will do 70mph all day comfortably after 70-75 its wound up pretty good and gets buzzy, the best i could ever get on mine was 95 mph but it felt like 150 mph, i only did it for a minute because it felt dangerous

They are both about the same year and mileage.
