Brighter headlight
I almost got hit by a bus that obviously did not see me, it had a yield -sign. So I decided to do something to the headlight that is rather dim by default. Rewiring makes all the difference to the brightness and the cost was about 20 EUR in total. What you need is 2 meters of 4 mm2 wire, a fuse box and a 15A fuse, two relays (I used https://goo.gl/C1CrOo), some heat shrink tube, soldering wire, a socket for H4 bulb, abiko connectors and cable sleeve. See the attachment for connections.

Actually I tried that first with a road illegal high wattage bulb. But since there is a high voltage drop with the standard wiring changing just the bulb does not help to brightness. You will get more lumens with a 'standard' bulb costing a few €/$ with good wires (=higher voltage) versus so called +130% expensive bulb with the standard wires.
