Mounting a TMS luggage rack with lights
I just bought a TMS Luggage box with lighting. I am trying to see how others have wired the back lights in? I see they give me three wires. A black and two hot leads. One hot lead causes the lights to flash and pulse (attention getting but maybe annoying to people to behind you). The other hot lead would just power the entire LED section with a steady red brake light. I don't think I can use them both as I wanted to have a steady red as running lights and maybe the pulse when I hit the brakes and have an extra brake light from the box. Has anyone else installed one of these TMS type boxes and how did you wire it?
Other question is it seems I can access the wiring to tap into it by the taillight housing or perhaps under the seat? What has other folks done to wire them up?
I am also looking for a source and feedback for something to mount on my crash bars to block the wind on colder rides. I have seen a Harley plastic piece that has storage on the inside and hard plastic/fiberglass on the outside. I was told that is Harley specific and won;t fit a Vstar but I think maybe it would?
Is there anything else to consider to block the wind?
