Bike idles but will shut off when given throttle or choke.
Hi everyone, just joined this forum. I bought a 2006 Yamaha VSTAR650 classic. In July. It had 8000 miles. I’ve had no issue since I’ve put 2000 miles on the bike. My problem is when I give the bike throttle, it wants to shut off. What I have done already is, I changed the spark plugs, I change the fuel filter, I drained the tank, I changed the fuel pump because that was broke. I took the carbs apart while on the bike and cleaned the jets. There is one electrical wires running to each carb, I am not sure what those are. Maybe it is possible that one of those are bad. When I had the bike running yesterday and I had the choke out, I had it running for a little while and my second cylinder was running very hot. The pipe was glowing, and the first cylinder wasn’t as hot. I don’t know what my problem is. I don’t want to keep dumping money into it and guessing.
